Welcome to SaskView on the InterWeb!
Last weekend FizzPOP (a hackerspace in Birmingham, England) held a workshop for building Useless Machines.
They supplied all the tools, materials and refreshments.
Can’t help but think about the viral nature of the machine. It’s a good example of a meme.

Hi Brett,
I guess you’ve already found the photos! The workshop went really well, with half the Useless Machines completed before the end of the session and the rest just needing to spend a bit more time with a glue gun…
Best praise comes from a teenage daughter who thought that the thing her dad made was pretty cool
Thanks again for the instructable.

Hi,
I built an useless machine for myself, and i just wanted to add that i had huge difficulties with the circuit which is given in my instructables. You better use Potentiometers and an Oszillograph to adjust the pulse length and distance. and you might add a condensator between + and – . Last but not least, when the servo turns, voltage shrinks down to a minimum, which will reduce pulse length and this might destroy your servo (happened to me). so i just added another 6V power which just powers the servo, pulses are powered by their own 6V.
